Definition:
A social Insured Person is a natural person who is affiliated to the Social Security Institution and has a unique identification number which enables him or her to maintain relations with the said Institution.

The NSIF provides Social Benefits to registered workers. The worker receives the following benefits, divided into branches.
Occupational risks
- treatment costs;
- prosthesis and orthopedics costs;
- functional rehabilitation costs;
- rehabilitation or professional retraining costs;
- victim's transport costs;
- travel costs and subsistence costs of the attendant, if applicable;
- funeral expenses;
- and daily allowance, permanent disability pension incapacity allowance.
Pension Family benefits (prenatal allowances, pregnancy medical costs, maternity allowance, maternity medical costs, medical costs for examining the infant at 6 months, family allowances, daily allowance paid to an employed woman on maternity leave

- old-age pension;

- disability pension;
- survivor's pension;

- old-age allowance for premature wear and tear;

Old-age, Disability, and Death Pension (PVID)
In order to claim the benefit of an old-age, disability and death pension, the insured person who requests (or on whose behalf it is requested) a benefit must have definitively ceased all salaried activity.
In the old-age, disability and death pensions insurance branch, salaried activity is counted in months of insurance.
