General information for employers

The employer is responsible for calculating, settling, and paying all social security contributions, both the employer's share and the employee's share, deducted from each paycheck on wages paid or due.

1. Employer registration

Employer registration is the administrative process that confirms the employer's registration with the CNPS. It takes place at the nearest social security center and results in the assignment of a registration number.

NB: By choosing to pre-register online, registration is only confirmed at a social security center. This must be done within 30 days of pre-registration, at the latest.

2. Payment of social security contributions

The amount of social security contributions due for a month or quarter is paid directly and spontaneously by the employer after electronic declaration of salaries in the CNPS bank accounts.

3. The main controls

Employer Control
Employer control involves verifying the accuracy of salary declarations and social security contribution payments due during a given period.
Fraud is an attack on national solidarity.
The State and the National Social Security Fund are stepping up their actions and strengthening Penalties incurred by fraudsters.
Ex-officio assessment
Any employer who has not:
- filed the salary declarations due for the period in question;
- presented accounting records that allow for accurate salary calculations;
- responded to the notice of visit from the Contribution Controller is subject to ex-officio assessment.

Q : qu’est-ce que l’immatriculation ?

R : C’est l’opération administrative obligatoire qui consiste, sur production d’un dossier physique réputé complet par un employeur ou un travailleur au sens du Code du Travail, à l’inscription de celuici sur le registre informatique de la CNPS et l’attribution à l’intéressé d’un numéro matricule qu’il conservera tout au long de sa relation avec l’organisme.
