How do CPS work?

The National Social Security Fund of Cameroon has a total of 39 Centers spread across the entire national territory with the aim of bringing the services offered by the CNPS as close as possible to users.
Placed under the authority of a Center Head, the Social Security Centers are the interface between the CNPS and users in various localities. As such, they are responsible for registering employers and workers, collecting contributions and paying various benefits.
The CPS also ensure the defense of the organization's interests while maintaining high standards in terms of quality of service. As needed, they are also responsible for reissuing the accounts of their management unit, thus carrying out almost all of the missions accomplished at the level of the central body of the CNPS.
While all the Social Security Centers have the same missions, two have specific functions. The CPS of the Informal Sector of Yaoundé and Douala were expressly created to allow self-employed workers as well as those in the informal sector to benefit from social security coverage.

Thus, they are particularly concerned with the voluntary insurance scheme, a system that guarantees the benefit of a benefit from the old-age, disability and death pension branch through the voluntary payment of a monthly contribution. These two Centers are therefore responsible for the screening of voluntary insured persons, the registration of these voluntary insured persons and the maintenance of individual insured accounts. It is therefore an efficient system set up by the CNPS to offer the best of its services to insured persons wherever they are, hence the slogan "You will never live alone".
