On Friday, the 29th of August 2025, the Cameroon's female staff of the National Social Insurance Fund attended a seminar related to women's rights in Yaounde.
With the same energy and aim, the NSIF female workers, alongside other women from both public and private sectors (administrations and associations) gathered in the conference room of the Ministry Building No. 2 to debate on the theme: ‘Femme et droit foncier au Cameroun: une femme, un titre foncier’, a discussion organised by the Ministry of Domains, Cadastre and Land Affairs (MINDCAF).
This second stage involving land rights is in line with the national campaign entitled ‘52 semaines: femmes et performances.’ At the centre of the debate was the innovative project ‘1 femme, 1 titre foncier, 1 logement intelligent’ programme, that aims at facilitating digital land access for Cameroonian women. The goal of this initiative is to promote asset security, open up financing opportunities for home ownership, and strengthen women's economic empowerment.
Representatives from the NSIF contributed to the talk by sharing their experiences and discussed on land security, legal protection of property, and mechanisms on how to access financial support for women's real estate projects. This reflects the institution's current commitment to promote gender equality and women's well-being at work. It will help to develop a more skilled, motivated and stable female staff.
