There is nothing to worry about as the fire at the NSIF building in Douala-Bonanjo is under control1 message

The Director General of the NSIF hereby informs the national audience that on the night of Saturday the 6th of September, at around 10 p.m., a fire broke out on the slab of the NSIF building of the Social Insurance Centres Akwa and Bonanjo in Douala.

Thanks to the rapid, energetic and effective intervention of the city's fire brigade, and under the benevolent on-site supervision of the Governor of the Littoral Region, Mr Samuel Diboua, assisted by the NSIF technical officials, the fire was quickly neutralised, without any particular damage.

 According to the initial investigation, the fire started in the overheated cables of the MTN antenna's electrical container installed on the building's slab.

At the time of writing, everything returned to normal, with no casualties or other material damage to report.

 The Director General would like to express the NSIF's gratitude to the authorities involved and warmly congratulate our valiant firefighters.

 The Director General would also like to thank all Cameroonians who spontaneously showed their solidarity and empathy during and after the incident, thereby demonstrating their sympathy to the NSIF and national institutions.
