Board of Directors: 2024 budget
Board Members of the National Social Insurance Fund met yesterday, 22 November 2023; among other items on the agenda, to examine and adopt the Institution's budget for the 2024 financial year.
Under the presidency of Mrs Mohamadou Bilitté Haman Djoda, the ordinary session was held in the conference room at the NSIF Head Office. In compliance with regulations, the president of the Board of Directors ensured that attendance of Board Members reached at least 2/3 before opening the meeting at 9:50 a.m.
On the agenda, are ten or so items. In addition to examining and adopting the 2024 financial year budget, the meeting focused on the adoption of the minutes of the Board of Directors' meeting held on 22 August 2023, the report on the implementation of the resolutions of the said meeting, management report as at 30 September 2023, examination and adoption of the 2024 strategic plan, investments, sale of equipment and renewal of the Institution's funds.
Furthermore, the worrying debt situation of State-owned companies and other State-owned structures also attracted the attention of Board Members, as certificates of merit and recognition were awarded to the Institution by the International Social Security Association (ISSA). To date, the NSIF has received 43 good practice awards and 6 certificates of excellence for its successful implementation of ISSA guidelines on service quality, good governance, collection of contributions, error, evasion, and fraud, health promotion in the workplace, and communication by social security administrations.
