2023 Inter-Company Tournament: The NSIF Tops Pool C
Since the 22nd of July 2023, the team of the National Social Insurance Fund has been successfully taking part in this tournament sponsored by Charles Ndongo, DG of CRTV.
The football team of the National Social Insurance Fund beat Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) 3-2 in their third match. The match took place on Saturday the 26th of August 2023 at the Annex field of the Omnisport Stadium. The NSIF opened the scores in the 16th minute of the first half, putting their opponents under pressure. When the half-time whistle blew, the physical fitness of the 22 players drew the attention of the crowd of spectators. The CAMTEL players started the 2nd half with more determination. Within the first few minutes, the team had reduced the score to 3-1.
15 minutes later, the opposing team scored their second goal. At the end of extra time, the score was 3-2 in favour of the NSIF.
With three games played, the Social Security Institution is now in first place in Pool C thanks to its landslide victory on the second day. The NSIF's team will now have to redouble their efforts if they are to qualify for the final and retain their position as leading team.
