Capacity Building Seminar: Training For Better Awareness
A training seminar was held from the 2nd to the 5th of August 2022 in Kribi, within the framework of the sub-project Private Sector Involvement in the Response to HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
A team of eight prevention technicians from the National Social Insurance Fund, members of the Health and Safety Committees (CHS), participated in the said training, the aim of which was to strengthen the capacities of the focal points of the companies for better prevention.
Thus, the members of the Health and Safety Committees and the coordination of the GICAM sub-project received training on practical knowledge as well as communication and reporting techniques. The objective of this seminar was to enable participants to carry out mobilisation and sensitisation activities for workers in relation to HIV-AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis; but also to carry out educational talks on these diseases.
As a result of this training, the occupational risk prevention technicians are better informed about the risks but also better equipped to raise awareness against these diseases.
