Labour Day 2025: Total Symbiosis
After a massive turnout at the parade on the May 20th Boulevard on Thursday the 1st of May, staff from all NSIF Structures based in Yaounde converged at the Head Office for a memorable time of sharing with Top Management.

Team Spirit
“Social dialogue and decent work: for a peaceful Cameroon” was the theme of the 139th Labour Day celebrations. During the parade, on the May 20th Boulevard in Yaounde, the approximately sixty staff taking part, marched past the Grand Stand with pride, to the thunderous applause of the administrative tribune, made up of leaders and Members of Government, led by the Minister of Labour and Social Security. As the 139th International Labour Day parade drew to a close, NSIF staff took to the tarmac with smiles and enthusiasm, once again proud to be part of a modern Social Security Institution which is at the service of the people.
Who do you recognise during the parade at the May 20th Boulevard?
It is worth mentioning that, for this edition, the staff paraded in their brand new fabric, displaying the new logo of the Institution, with signboards brandishing its mission of social protection for all Cameroonians. The fresh, intense, soft and dynamic blue colour is reminiscent of the essence and originality of Africa. As well as being an artistic masterpiece, the new fabric highlights the reputation and performance of the National Social Insurance Fund, particularly the seven international certifications it has received for its Good Practices in improving service quality.
Staff enjoyed the show
Staff from the various structures then converged at the esplanade of the Head Office, which had been specially decorated for the occasion. As usual, the floor was given to the Staff Delegate, who reiterated the Institution's values of discipline, rigour, loyalty, professionalism and commitment to work. With one important clarification! “We must support Top Management in achieving its objectives through the values of work, with dedication to the task and convinced by the valuable guidance of the Director General. As for the overall average performance of NSIF staff, which was rated at over 18.50% (Excellent grade), this is proof that the vast majority of NSIF staff are working with the Top Management in the quest for excellence”, said Isaac Sapouma, before concluding with a few complaints to the employer.

The Director of Human Resources, NANA BELLO, representing the Director General, during his speech
Following this recognition of the collaborative, value-creating work of staff who are used to the task, the Director General's representative congratulated the staff who had won awards during the “Grand nuit des travailleurs”. Nana Bello also reiterated the expectations regarding respect for NSIF values: “Our expectations revolve around two main concepts: discipline and performance. In other words, the professionalism that leads to results, according to expectations. In the same vein, we are going to discuss the extent to which the Directorate General is concerned to provide staff with personal protective equipment and work materials to keep up the momentum of the theme. The essential values of an Institution like NSIF remain the same: responsibility, exemplarity, empathy and the denunciation of all unethical acts”.

Ambiance!
The ceremony was rich in sound and colour, with a strong whiff of communion, and also opened the stage to some well-choreographed routines performed by various structures: the DRH, DT, as well as the Messamendongo, Mvog Mbi and Melen Centres, to musical tunes full of happy memories. Wherever the NSIF is located in Cameroon, it has been proven that the Institution has a staff with many hidden talents, capable of adding a special touch to Labour Day...
The CDL Team
The festivities came to an auspicious close at 5pm in the capital city, with the promise of redoubled efforts at work, from 7.30am the following day on Friday, to serve the people.
