NSIF-Minjustice Partnership
A joint working session was held on Wednesday 25 May 2022 at the NSIF, as part of preparatory work for the organisation of capacity-building seminars for judicial authorities and magistrates on social security legislation.
The conference room of the Board of Directors of the NSIF Head Office in Yaounde was the venue for the meeting chaired on behalf of the Top Manager by the Director of Legal Affairs and Litigation, Florent ZIBI ONDOUA. The team from the Ministry of Justice was led by the Director of General Affairs, Marie-Claire Dieudonnée NSENG ELANG. This first meeting is aimed at improving collaboration ties between the NSIF and the judicial administration, a strategic partner of the Institution.
The objective of these seminars is to harmonise the understanding and interpretation of the texts governing social security in Cameroon, to ensure proper application and administration of justice in this field.
The representative of Minjustice assisted by the Deputy Director of Judicial Personnel, Luc Fabo Owona, insisted on the specificities of the judicial administration to be taken into account in the implementation of the project and made observations specific to their working environment. Consequently, the questions raised were answered appropriately by the representatives of the NSIF.
Following convivial exchanges, the parties agreed on the adjustments to be made to the initial project proposed by the NSIF, for the imminent implementation of the seminars. The representatives of the Ministry of Justice welcomed the initiative of the DG of the NSIF and reiterated the commitment of the Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, for the successful holding of the workshops.
A partnership announcement that will be very beneficial in guaranteeing the sustainability of the Social Security Institution and the administration of the rights to Social Insured Persons.
